Governor’s Disaster Declaration regarding Opioid Crisis

On January 10, 2018, the Governor signed a Disaster declaration for the Commonwealth in regard to the Heroin and Opioid crisis.

As an element of this, the Acting Secretary of Health/Physician General Dr Levine has made the determination to modify the Naloxone Standing Order to allow for EMS agencies to leave behind Naloxone with the At-Risk Person or with family members, friends, or other persons who are in a position to assist the At-Risk Person.
