Seven Mountains EMS Council is proud to announce the appointment of Ashley Houtz as our new EMS Program Specialist – Education and Certification. Ashley brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role, most recently serving as a Field Training Officer with Evangelical Regional Mobile Medical Services. In that capacity, she played a key role in mentoring and developing EMS personnel, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational readiness.
Ashley began her EMS career in 1998 as an EMT and earned her Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification in 2023. She has demonstrated exceptional skill and composure in high-pressure situations, earning recognition as EMS Provider of the Year through Geisinger Medical Center for her lifesaving interventions during a complex vehicle accident.
Beyond her field experience, Ashley has contributed to Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) programs, supporting the mental health and resilience of EMS professionals. Her commitment to education and wellness aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen emergency medical services across Central Pennsylvania.
In her new role, Ashley will oversee EMS education and certification programs, coordinate training schedules, manage certification exams, and serve as a liaison to the Regional Training Committee. Her proven leadership and dedication to professional development make her an outstanding addition to our team.
