The entity responsible for the management and administration of a special event are strongly encouraged to submit a Special Event EMS plan to the Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. This will allow the Bureau of EMS to determine whether the plan is adequate to address the EMS needs presented by a special event or a series of special events conducted at the same location.
Plans should be submitted to the Regional EMS council assigned responsibility for the region in which the special event is to occure. Completed plans are to be submitted at least 90 days prior to the event with the Department approving or disapproving the plan within 60 days after submission.
